London to Bath
and Back
August 2nd 2010. 211 miles. 9hrs.3mins.6secs. Or Less.

Welcome to the London to Bath and Back website
In 1981 John Woodburn set the Road Records Association Record for London to Bath and back. He covered the 211 miles in just 9 hours, 3 minutes and 7 seconds. A time so formidable that it has stood for over 28 years unchallenged. Until now...

This year I lost a friend to cancer, and my Dad has been diagnosed but doing well. It has opened my eyes to a lot of things and my understanding of life. I want to achieve something for myself and raise money for a good charity at the same time.

I didn't want to attempt something I knew I could achieve. During a debate about whether it was possible to cycle to visit my Dad near Bath and get back in a working day, I discovered the RRA site and John Woodburn's record. The charity attempt was born.

To find out more and see how the preparation is going visit my daily blog.
The ride will be in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. They have helped my friends and family. And who knows, one day it may be my turn. To donate please go to my Just Giving page.
